The Role The focus of our Accounting & Finance division is to ensure that Sedo has the necessary processes and structures in place for internal and client oriented financial issues. The team manages Sedos escrow services insuring that a secure and timely payment is guaranteed. In addition the team plays a pivotal role in high value transactions. The ideal candidate is familiar with international accounting, online payment processes, commission based payments, and comes from a start-up background. In this role you will be required to advise several business units on payment processes and budgeting and collaborate with our German Finance team on corporate financial projects. You must possess excellent analytical skills and enjoy designing processes as much as following them. As a senior member of the Finance team you will act as a mentor to more junior team members. This is the ideal role for someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of Finance and Accounting and who enjoys multitasking.
Booking AR/AP and General Ledger accounts Create year and month end Financial Statements Day to Day Cash Management (including investment proposals for short term money market accounts) Cost Accounting and Budgeting Payroll Administer 401K Design, structure and tweak processes
Qualifications Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting Minimum of 5 -7 years experience in Finance or Accounting, ideally in a start-up environment Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Advanced proficiency with MS office applications (especially PowerPoint and Excel) SAP and Quickbooks skills Familiar with online billing and payment processes Previous experience working with Paypal Previous experience running payroll (ADP, Paychex or similar vendor experience) Able to communicate with tech teams and understand technical processes and set-ups Cost accounting / controlling experience Able to understand strategic business objectives of different business platforms Is comfortable working in a fast paced environment Is willing and able to share information with others Excellent attention to detail, precise execution and remarkable follow up Self-motivated with a high capacity for learning
Strong Pluses German Language skills CPA certification
